CFD
CFD, or the Foreign
Exchange Market, is a worldwide platform where individuals, businesses, and
institutions exchange currencies. It is the largest and most liquid financial
market globally, boasting a daily trading volume exceeding $6 trillion.
Here are some key aspects
of CFD:
1. Currency Pairs: Trading occurs with pairs like EUR/USD or
USD/JPY.
2. Exchange Rates: Currencies are priced relative to each other.
3. Market Hours: CFD operates 24 hours a day, five days a week.
4. Leverage: Leverage can magnify both potential gains and
losses.
5. Market Analysis: Traders use both technical and fundamental
analysis to forecast trends.
6. Trading Platforms: Common platforms include MetaTrader 4 & 5
and Web Trader.
7. Regulation: Forex brokers are overseen by bodies like the
CFTC and FCA.
While CFD trading carries
risks, it can be profitable with the right education, risk management, and
strategies.

Stock Market:
1. Individual Stocks (e.g., Reliance, TCS, Infosys) 1 point = ₹1 change in the stock’s price.
If Reliance moves from ₹2,500 to ₹2,520, it has gone up 20 points (or ₹20).
2. Indices (e.g., Nifty 50, Sensex/BSE 30)
1 point = 1 unit movement in the index.
Example:
If Nifty 50 moves from 22,000 to 22,200, it’s a 200-point gain. If Sensex moves from 73,000 to 73,500, it’s a 500-point rise.
Note: This doesn’t directly mean all stocks in the index gained ₹500 — it’s based on weighted average of index stocks.
Gold, Silver & Platinum
Precious metals are traded as commodities in the CFD market, with prices quoted in US dollars per ounce. Here are the most commonly traded precious metals:
1. Gold (XAU/USD): The most popular precious metal, gold is often used as a hedge against inflation and market volatility.
2. Silver (XAG/USD): Silver is widely traded for its industrial uses and as a store of value.
3. Platinum (XPT/USD): A rare and valuable metal, platinum is used in jewelry, catalytic converters, and various industrial applications.
4. Palladium (XPD/USD): Known for its rarity and luster, palladium is used in catalytic converters, jewelry, and other industries.
5. Copper (XCUP/USD): Although primarily an industrial metal, copper is traded for its uses in electrical wiring, construction, and more.
Trading precious metals in Forex can help diversify portfolios, hedge against inflation, and speculate on price movements.
